Smashing Pumpkins have offered up a free new MP3 from their forthcoming 44-song, multi-EP album Teargarden by Kaleidyscope. The new track, “Astral Planes,” was released over the weekend through famed West Coast indie record store Amoeba.

“Astral Planes” is the fourth promotional offering from the Pumpkins’ new epic, and all the tracks are available at the group’s official website.

Teagarden By Kaleidyscope will be divided into 11 separate EPs that will be released individually over the coming months. The first, Teargarden By Kaleidyscope Vol.1: Song For A Sailor, is set for official release on May 25 and will feature a limited edition package including a silk screened box, a four-song CD, a vinyl 7″ and a hand-carved obelisk.

The first EP was also made available for pre-order to fans at Amoeba Records for Record Store Day on Saturday, and included a special black light-activated poster.
