The Red Hot Chili Peppers may be the next band to enter the world of Guitar Hero

with a new game dedicated to their songs. According to reports, Activision is currently mulling over how much interest there is in the idea, despite recent cutbacks.

A video gaming website called Kotaku received a survey from Activision to gauge interest in a RHCP Guitar Hero concept.

“Celebrate the entirety of the [lastfm]Red Hot Chili Peppers[/lastfm]‘ life, starting with their early days in L.A., to their famous Hyde Park concert to their highly anticipated new studio album,” the survey noted. “Discover the story behind their legendary music as you unlock interviews, retrospectives, concert footage and other commentary.”

[lastfm]Metallica[/lastfm], [lastfm]Van Halen[/lastfm] and [lastfm]Aerosmith[/lastfm] are some of the bands that have previously been featured in the popular video game, which allows players to try their luck singing and playing instruments to various bands’ greatest hits.
