This director’s interesting casting technique has lead to some steamy on-screen couples!

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has a new movie coming out based on the classic tale of Little Red Riding.  This version is a lot steamier than the version we grew up hearing.  Amanda Seyfried stars as a very sultry Little Red Riding Hood and, word is, she has a very HOTT romance with a very seductive Shiloh Fernandez.  Fernandez was the runner up for the role of Edward Cullen in the Twilight movies-  Robert Pattinson got the role instead.   If you’ve seen the Twilight movies then you know that the stars have a very strong bond/attraction to one another.  Hardwicke has an interesting way during auditions to make sure her stars have this “spark”.  She has them make out!  She says that ever since she made the movie, ‘Thirteen’ she would cast the lead and then bring in potential co-stars to see if they were compatible.  That’s what happened in Twilight when she first cast Kristen Stewart and for Riding Hood after she cast Seyfried.  Unusual, but it seems to work!
