ON THE TOWN: 

Random Act of Christmas: The Tommy Show is surprising shoppers at Reston Town Center on Sunday at 1pm with a random act of Christmas. We are bringing the Pride of Herndon marching band, giveaways and a little holiday cheer.

Wreath laying at Arlington - Join our neighbors as we place wreaths at the headstones of the fallen soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery. The Opening Ceremony starts at 8:30am at the Memorial Amphitheater near the Tomb of the Unknowns. This event is designed to remember our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve, and teaching future generations about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms. More info.

12 Days of Merriment - Starts today but Kelly Collis will be kicking things off with a community holiday party next Saturday, December 10th from 1-4 p.m. with a fruitcake eating contest, holiday karaoke, an ugly Christmas sweater party, and hot cocoa tastings. Free pedicab rides will be available for attendees that afternoon from the Dupont Circle and Foggy Bottom-GWU metro stations to Georgetown from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. More info.

TNT Holiday SpecialJustin Bieber, Cee Lo Green, Jennifer Hudson, Victoria Justice and The Band Perry are set to come together in the nation’s capital for TNT’s annual Christmas in Washington special. Hosted this year by Conan O’Brien, the star-studded concert will premiere Friday, Dec. 16 8/7c, but it’s being filmed at the National Building Museum Sunday night.
