A defense attorney in New York has been handing out non-prescription, thick-rimmed hipster glasses (see picture above) to his clients to help get them off the hook. The attorney calls it the “nerd defense”. He believes that the glasses help defendants make a better impression on juries. Psychologically, the person on trial appears to be serious, studious, and intellectual. Thus, giving them a better chance of a not-guilty verdict.
