Katy Perry has finally opened up about her painful divorce from British comedian Russell Brand.  Katy did an interview with The Hollywood Reporter and she was very straight forward about how devastating it was to go through the break up.  She says that no one really knows what happened between them except for her and Russell.  However, she went on to describe the emotional damage she went through: “What was going on in my personal life was so overwhelming that I had to bend over to let those tears fall straight out of my eye sockets.”  Katy also said she got through the process and dealth with the emotional baggage: “I had to smack myself across the face and say, ‘These problems are my problems, they are not my audience’s problems, learn to separate that.”  She also talks about other subjects in the interview including Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries 72 day marriage (Katy and Russell’s marriage lasted less than a year) as well as her new movie, Part Of Me, and how she broke into the entertainment business.
