The Tommy Show was inspired by a story of a family that learned there was nothing more they could do to save their 21 month old son, Ryan, who’s suffering from Down Syndrome and a heart defect. All they are asking from friends and family is for parents to make memories and spend time with their kids by having banana splits for dinner–and unfortunately Ryan won’t ever be able to have one.

One of Diane’s friends’ took to Facebook to create the “Ryan’s Banana Split Party” for parents everywhere to support Diane’s wishes. Since it’s launch, almost 63,000 people have attended and 100s of pictures have been posted.
