Nicki Minaj and Drake can add a No. 1 movie to their chart-topping albums. Ice Age: Continental Drift topped the weekend box-office, raking in $46million, and edging out the previous champ The Amazing Spider-man ($35 Mil).

Drake and Minaj both voice wooly mammoths in the film, and they’re not the only newcomers to the Ice Age family. Comedians Aziz Ansari and Peter Dinklage also join the longtime Ice Age cast of Denis Leary, Ray Romano, Queen Latifah and John Leguizamo.

The film is also performing well overseas, bringing in $339 million worldwide. The first installment of Ice Age was released in 2002. To date, the franchise taken in 2.2 billion globally. —Keith Murphy, CBS Local
