September 11,2001 is just around the corner and while most of us will grieve some will be putting their thoughts to a good cause. This year let’s join the 9/11 Hero Run and challenge our feelings to honor those who are heroes in our heart.

GENERAL PAPAK HEROES RUN

General Papak, participant of the 9/11 Heroes run, shares a inspirational story of a son and his loving family challenging the living to honor the fallen.

Travis Manion, young Marine Corp Lieutenant of Naval Academy Class of 2004 and a Marine Wrestler, was killed in April of 2007 in Iraq. Manion was best known for his strong motivational and uplifting spirit.

After Manion’s death his Father, Mother and Sister created the Travis Manion Foundation. This foundation services the community as well as the country in honoring the fallen heroes in numerous events one being the 9/11 Heroes Run.

This run will take place in Annapolis on Sunday September 9,2012 at 2:00 pm at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. There will be food, activities for children and many local reps to thank for their services. Come join the fun and run!
