“Drunk drivers kill someone approximately every 48 minutes.” On May 15, 2011 three wonderfully, talented individuals were killed in a drinking and driving accident. Haeley McGuire, Spencer Datt and Johnny Hoover all attended Magruder High School and had lost their lives.
Instead of mourning their deaths and falling into the dark, Elisa McGuire, Michelle Nicolas, Tori Wrigley and Kushal Choxi started a bright mission. This mission was to spread awareness of drinking and driving and HAPPINESS.
The Happiness foundation began with a simple drawing Haeley made for her sister. One girl, one boy in a field holding a heart. What seemed to be so simple soon turned into a symbol of awareness for the Happiness Foundation.
Happiness has reached everywhere from South Carolina to New York City. Spreading not only the promises but the SHOW STOPPING T-SHIRTS.
Happiness Promise T-shirt’s are free and fabulous! Soon to come is the happiness attire which will include sweat jackets, sweatshirts and more! But it doesn’t stop there. Team Happiness is in the process of setting up Happiness clubs as well Happiness safe rides at college campus”I had a dream Kobe Brian was wearing a Happiness jump suit and Kanye West was wear a Happiness Blazer”, said Choxi, “Right then I knew it was a sign from Haeley.”
