Yup, you read that right! There’s a new diet and it’s the Starbucks diet.
66-year-old local woman, Christine Hall, has made her local Starbucks her second home. So how does the Starbucks diet work? Well firstly, Christine gets all of her meals from Starbucks. She names their infamous Hot Panini as one of her favorite meals.
Since she’s started the diet 2 years ago, she’s lost 85 pounds. She praises Starbucks for labeling their packaged goods which allows her to count the calories. To start her day, Hall eats an oatmeal with black coffee totaling 145 calories. For lunch or dinner, she will have either a hot panini or bistro box which ranges from 220 and 460 calories.
Sounds great doesn’t it? Well according to dietician, Rebecca S. “like other diets, they do not work in the long run.” She continues saying that if Hall does not be careful she can suffer from malnutrition.
But Hall is sticking to her diet and says “she’s feel better than ever.”
So who would’ve guess that Starbucks IS good for you. Time to skip those muffins and indulge on the salads and paninis.
