Five things you need to know about Drew Storen. After he made a brief appearance as a relief pitcher in the ninth inning at last night’s game against the LA Dodgers and got 3 up and 3 down. Jen and Kelly from the Tommy Show were able to interview him the day before and learned a bunch from him.

1. He is smart. Storen was drafted by the New York Yankees in 2007 but did not sign, opting instead to attend Stanford University.

2. After he clinched the Nationals place in the playoffs, he ate at Matchbox on Capitol Hill.

3. He lives at Kelly’s (from the Tommy Show) ex-boyfriend’s condo.

4. On May 17, his first day on the Nationals active roster, Storen made his major league debut and pitched a scoreless two thirds of an inning of relief. On May 23, Storen got his first major league hit in his first career at-bat. He also got his first career save on August 6.

5. His father is Mark Patrick, former morning show host on FOX Sports Radio and the MLB Network on XM Radio.
