As Hollywood worshiped Oscar on Sunday night, one of the brightest stars was in the Big Apple.

While bestie Ben Affleck was accepting the Best Picture award, Damon watched Shag and Scoob solve a live musical mysteries.  Damon took in a production of the beloved Scooby Doo Live! Musical Mysteries [which hit the Warner Theater sans Damon on Feb. 16] on Saturday morning at the Beacon Theatre in New York. And he would have gotten away with it too if it weren’t for… well you know.

The Bourne star was super gracious to the cast, posing for pics and giving them career advice.
