LANHAM, Md. (CBSDC) — Rolling Stones fans in the D.C. area may have had mixed emotions about the fact that Mick, Keith and the boys didn’t have plans to visit D.C. on their “50 and Counting” tour, but the band’s recent announcement might provide some satisfaction.
Just days after the kickoff of the 2013 leg of the tour at Staples Center in L.A., a June 24 visit to Verizon Center has been added to the list of stops.
The Stones had already planned to visit San Jose, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Toronto, Montreal, Philadelphia, Chicago and Boston.
Celebrity guests on the first leg of the tour included Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige and Bruce Springsteen.
Tickets for the D.C. show will go on sale at 10 a.m. on May 13 and will be available at the Rolling Stone’s website, Ticketmaster or via Phonecharge at 1-800-745-3000. And, if you’re a Citi Card member, time is on your side. Card members will have access to presale tickets beginning 10 a.m. May 10 through Citi’s Private Pass Program.
