Cory Monteith, star of Fox Network’s smash hit show, Glee, was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room Saturday.
Reps for the actor confirmed his passing early Sunday morning.
Authorities believe Monteith was alone when he died and there are no immediate signs of foul play. The Vancouver Police ensure a thorough investigation regardless.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
Executive producers for Glee released the following statement:
“We are deeply saddened by this tragic news. Cory was an exceptional talent and an even more exceptional person. He was a true joy to work with and we will all miss him tremendously. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones.”
Monteith checked himself into a rehab facility earlier this year for a substance addiction and was released in April and thanked fans for their continuing support:
