Dancer-turned-actress Julianne Hough is proving she’s over ex-boyfriend Ryan Seacrest by publicly hitting the town with a new man, Washington Capitals player Brooks Laich.
The pair were spotted hand-in-hand in Southern California this past weekend — both outfitted with smiles — as they walked Hough’s dogs in the Hollywood Hills.
Just days before, Laich tweeted out his support of Valentine’s Day, wishing D.C. and his fans a special day and using the hashtag “#onelove.”
The Sports Junkies, of our sister station 106.7 The Fan, had a chance to talk to Laich about his newest love connection.
The two met through a mutual friend, actor Teddy Sears, who was working with Hough on her latest film, “Curve.” [Hough] was watching a Capitals game while on set,” Laich recalls, “and [Sears] told her ‘I’ve got a guy for you’.” In December, the two connected and hit it off.
“She’s a cool, cool gal and a sweetheart,” he beams. “[She’s] very loving, very giving. She puts a lot of great in the world.”
Four weeks ago, Hough posted a picture to her Instagram account wearing a Washington Capitals shirt while the team was in New York City.
Laich is currently on a small hockey hiatus while a few of his teammates compete in the winter Olympics on Sochi.
