March Madness is upon us. Yesterday was Selection Sunday and we have some local teams making us proud. American, VCU, GW, are all going to the big dance and the Virginia Cavaliers are in the No. 1 seed. The first round starts tomorrow (Tuesday) and to sweeten the pot you could win $1 billion dollars if you guess a perfect bracket.

Chasing down the top spot at the box office over the weekend is Mr. Peabody & Sherman, who took the lead in its second weekend. The DreamWorks cartoon about a genius dog and his son brought in $21.2 million. Meanwhile, 300: Rise of an Empire dropped to the second place slot with $19.1 million after debuting at No. 1 last weekend.

While you’ve got the kids at home today, put them to work on an arts project. Today is your last day to get your peeps diorama in for the Washington Post contest. Peeps is celebrating their 60th anniversary and this is the seventh year of the Washington Post’s contest. Winners will be revealed on March 27.

St. Patty’s Day is today so here are 10 great things to do with your kids while it’s snowing today.
