Call Joe Jonas some sort of amateur therapist.
The former Jonas Brother spoke out about his solo career in the most recent issue of Scene magazine, but he also riffed on his thoughts on the continuing saga of pop-star-turned-bad-boy Justin Bieber.
“I’ve had an easier route than most,” the middle Jonas, 24, tells the magazine. “The youngsters just turning 20, the Biebers of the world, are under a microscope. [Bieber] is having a very tough time finding balance.
“I think we all saw it coming. Your dad is your party animal—that’s going to sum it up pretty quick. There’s an equation for some sort of explosion.”
Jonas is, of course, referring to Bieber’s recent run-ins with the law, most notably his arrest in Miami last January for DUI, capping off a series of events during which the singer went from innocuous teen heartthrob to troubled teen heartthrob.
