Warner Bros. Records announced Monday morning music icon Prince will release two albums on Sept. 30.

Art Official Age will be released as a solo album by Prince while Plectrumelectrum is by his new band 3rd Eye Girl.

Both albums are currently available for pre-order on iTunes and fans will be able to unlock instant tracks from each record by doing so.  These albums mark a continuation of a successful year for Prince who recently wrapped up a run in the UK and Europe on his Hit & Run Tour, as well as starring in an episode of the hit TV show “New Girl.”

Wondering what the difference between the two albums will be?

According to a press release from Warner Bros. Records, Art Official Age “is a contemporary concoction of soul, R&B and funk.  The melodies are immediate and prominent as ever and Prince’s vocals are rich and solid, taking full advantage of his vocal range with decidedly, seductive lyrics.”

Plectrumelectrum “is an electrifying funk-rock statement.  Many of the tracks… were performed live on the ‘Hit & Run’ tours of the UK earlier this year.”
