The 2016 MTV VMAs will take place this Sunday, August 28, at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the performance roster is stacked for both the pre-show and the actual show. Britney Spears will return to perform for the first time in 10 years while Rihanna will receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award on top of performing. And that’s just two names.

This marks the first time the show has ever been held at MSG, and presenters will include Sean “Diddy” Combs, Alicia Keys, Ansel Elgort, Bebe Rexha, Fifth Harmony, Jaden Smith, Kim Kardashian West, Rita Ora, Shameik Moore and Tove Lo.
Instead of having one traditional host, MTV is offering up four. Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele will serve as the master of ceremonies while fellow comedians Nicole Byer and Jay Pharoah will serve as correspondents during the broadcast. As for the pre-show, DJ Khaled, Charlemagne Tha God and Lizzo will all co-host.
And producers have given reportedly Kanye West a full four minutes to do whatever he wants with, according to a source from the show (via Pitchfork). From interrupting Taylor Swift to announcing his presidential run n 2020, West has a history of making memorable moments at the VMAs. If this indeed turns out to be true it’s anyone’s guess how he’ll use that time.
